Windows 7 Surpasses Windows XP as Most Popular Operating System

According to Statcounter.com.  As of this month, Windows 7 has surpassed Microsoft’s most popular operating system Windows XP. Since the launch of Windows 7, customers have been pleased with the operating system as Windows XP dropped down to 38.58% and Windows 7 rose to 40. 34%.

Windows vista on the other hand didn’t stand a chance.  At its peek in 2008, Windows Vista never got any higher than 23% of the operating system market share.

Windows 7 was a huge success for Microsoft and Microsoft Windows 8 is coming out soon. Windows 8 is supposed to feature a new “Metro” user interface simular to the Windows phone O.S that claims to be more user-friendly.  It would be a shame if you could not switch styles for those who want to keep the windows look.
