There are Too Many Good Games Out There…Just Saying

I would like to discuss an issue (if you really want to call it one) that gamers like myself might have. Do you find it hard to complete games?

Do you feel like you do not have enough time to gain trophies/achievements, or do you just stick to playing one game online?

What could be the cause of not being able to experience a game all the way through? I do not think the problem is in our gaming habits; it is that there are way too many good games out there. If you are a gamer with a range of tastes, then you will know exactly what I’m talking about.

Unless you are a gamer with nothing but time on your hands, you are going to be jumping from game to game like a video gaming gigalo. I’m currently playing Mass Effect 2, Sideway, DC Universe Online, and Payday: The Heist just to name a few. I still haven’t been able to get my hands on games that have released recently, and my brain hurts thinking of the games that are still on their way.

Where’s a loan shark when you need one?

It really is a catch 22 because your having fun playing a game, but dreading the release of another one. Maybe short games aren’t a necessarily bad thing. Think about it; if you beat a game in 10 hours that means you can move on to the next, and you can always come back to it later to gain unlockables, etc.

If gaming is just one of your many hobbies then when do you find that time to do so? I’m not even going to go into MMO’s, or games that don’t have a set time of completion. It would be a lot easier if most games sucked, but then there wouldn’t be much of a video game industry.

It’s to the point where I honestly don’t worry about completing a game anymore. There are too many games on the horizon, and I want to try them all. On the other hand, I don’t want to spend $60 on a game just for it to collect dust. I can always wait until I am done with the current game to buy a new one, but we all know that if you are a gamer that’s not really an option now is it?

We will all be very busy gamers, no matter what console it may be on.

For now it’s just Batman and Uncharted 3 for me. I think I’ll watch for sales after Christmas for other games. And no thanks on MW and BF.

  • lmao

    You are ridiculous.

How do you not have time to finish games yet have the money to keep buying games for $60 that you know you won’t be able to complete?

A short game is a bad game IMO no matter what. The last thing I EVER want to feel when beating is the feeling of “this is it?”  A good length IMO opinion is amount hours it takes to beat Batman Arkham City. Not too long not too short.

Sounds like you took my article a little too seriously. When a lot of games are coming out there is still pressure to complete them in a certain amount of time. You still are going to buy those games because, well you want them lol.

Honestly I still havent beaten Castlevania: Lords of Shadow yet lol

Wow. You’re a pretty stupid guy.

This is you: “How do you not have time to finish games yet have the money to keep buying games for $60 that you know you won’t be able to complete?”

Lol! Really? How about having a job? Job = less time but more money.

That was hard to figure out.

A short game is a bad game? Have you played portal? or Bastion?

You are a prime example of the modern dimwit…

Yea, I feel ya man. I’ve always been been behind on new games, but now it’s getting ridiculous. Haha. But it’ll be good when there’s a lull and I’ll be able to pick em up cheap.

its all good $60 for a game might just be a thing of the past if U stay with one game untill the rest fall in price. Were all winners here!!!
