Call of Duty for the Playstation Vita this Autumn

The Playstation Vita will have its own version of Call of Duty this autumn.

SCEA’s senior VP of Playstation brand marketing Guy Longworth confirmed Call of Duty for Vita to GameTrailers.

“In the Autumn, [my kids] are really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita, and that’s going to be an absolute game changer for the platform.”
Details about the title, aside from its existence, remain very thin on the ground. It’s not yet known, for instance, whether it will be a port of an existing title or a brand new, Vita specific SKU.”

It’s safe to assume that Call of Duty for the Playstation Vita will have online multiplayer, with possible Call of Duty: Elite integration. With the Vita’s Cross Platform Play functionality, Activision could very well be planning on releasing future Call of Duty titles on the handheld allowing Vita gamers to battle against console players.
