    Cross Game Chat is the ultimate social gaming feature.  PS3 users just cannot understand since they only play girly panty waste JRPG’s and such.  Man up and Party up with your friends and enjoy CGC on the 360.

        And you keep your precious exclusives that you all brag about and yet no one buys.  Gears of War 3 sold more than all the PS3 exclusives in 2011 combined.  Fact.  Period.  Step Yo Game Up PS3 fanboys and buy some games.  You can actually do more with your PS3 than watch NetFlix and play PS2 remakes.  

        You played with a few kids, that is the common myth perpetuated by angry and jealous PS3 fanboys about the superior functionality of XBOX Live.  

        If all you want to do is play effeminate girly JRPG’s and kiddy platformer retreads (Jak, Daxter, Sly, etc) by yourself.  Then keep your PS3 and keep to yourself.

          Gears 3 didn’t outsell all PS3 exclusives combined. There wasn’t a PS3 exclusive that sold as much as Gears 3 in 2011. There is a big difference there. So no, you didn’t state a fact…period.

          I would rather play JRPG’s and platformers then rearrange my living room to have a “gaming experience” that involves waving my arms everywhere just to play a game on rails. I’m sure MS is also watching you play Kinect and laughing their asses off..

            Seriously?  JRPG’s?  Stand still.  I’ll beam you forward in time to 2012, just don’t move.  

            That stuff is so PS2-era.  Japan was eclipsed this generation by Western developers and publishers.  Even the Japanese devs are saying it.  So why play those turn based, narrow corridor games, when you can play the likes of:

            Skyrim
            Oblivion
            Mass Effect 2
            Mass Effect 3
            Red Dead Redemption
            Borderlands

            Next thing you you’ll be telling me you still play those retread fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter!

            PS:  great podcast, btw.  Not sure what you do for a living, but you should be in talk radio.  Anything else, and you’re wasting a God given talent.

          you got me all wrong mate, im not jealous or angry at all, i play the games i want to play i dont play the games i dont want to play. The ps3 games just appeal to me, i used to own a 360 i know all about the system and what it offers and im fine with it. It amazes me how much 360 fanboys who love their 360 talk about the p3 more than their beloved 360. I honestly dont care how many copies gears sells i dont want to play it, i played the first 2 and they are run of the mill predictable cheesey story lines. Sales dont matter to me as im not a share holder with anyone or a publisher, so throwing sales at me means nothing. I enjoy multi plats like dead space 2, mass effect 3 deus ex, but i also love uncharted, heavy rain, heavenly sword, twisted metal,little big planet, demon souls (girly rpg !)killzone, infamous,god of war etc just a large choice of games you cant get anywhere else, with loads to come by the look of things. What i dont get is, you know this site favours sony, so why so angry no one hides it or lies about it.As for xbox live yeah it works better than psn so what? i dont want this system and i have no issue playing on psn anyway.
          Maybe you should have a chat with your boyfriend and relax a little? no need to be so angry.

           Hey you should do more research gears of war 3 did not sell more than all the ps3 exclusives combined Gears sold 5 mil and uncharted 3 sold 4 million check vgchartz I know there not that accurate but they are close. both Resistance 3 and infamous 2 sold over a million.

          Gears 3 sold all PS3 exclusives combined? You’re wrong. DCI is right that no PS3 exclusive has outsold Gears 3, but it hasn’t outsold GT5 which is “gasp” a PS3 exclusive. I rather have a company keep pumping out the exclusives rather than a company focusing on that casual kiddie Kinect crap while abandoning the core base that made them at the start of this gen.

            Dude, seriously, we have so many exclusives:

            Kinect Party
            Kinect Boche Ball
            Kinect Horse Shoes
            Kinect Katamari
            Kinect Barbie Horse Racing
            Kinect The Dots
            Kinect Super Halo Brawl
            Kinect Move (yeah, imagine that one!)

            and so many other great titles.  Tim Shafer will no doubt have some special Kinect games out at E3 like:

            Sesame Street: Time to do your Homework
            Big Bird Meets Master Chief
            Krazy Kinect Fun Time: Wave your hands Edition

            and we’ll see footage of Halo 7, 8, 9 and 11.

            As a hard core, or shall I say “True Gamer” (I laugh everytime I hear someone say that, btw), I want to see more games like Disney Universe and Mister Bubbles Windy Day Adventure.

            And rumors are that Microsoft has secured these as exclusive to the XBOX:

            Vampire Rain 2
            Legendary 2
            Rogue Warrior 2: Trouble in Bayonne, NJ

            the list goes on and on.  I’m excited, aren’t you?

    With all the money that Sony is bleeding, does anyone really think that the PSN will be free when the PS4 launches?  

    You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.  Amazing how many people here that work at Subway and think they are business knowledgeable.  

    Losing 6.4 billion dollars (US) is no small matter.  The childish and immature reasoning that they are big company and it’s no big deal is incredible and pervasive in the gaming culture.  

    One thing I like is that Sony, allegedly, is going with an AMD/ATI solution in the PS4.  This is essentially a PC and will make PC ports incredibly easy.  About time the western mindset influenced the innards of the Sony hardware design team.  

    How about that much bragged about dedicated 256 meg of RAM for the GPU?  Ask developers what a genius idea that was by the Sony hardware design team.  Hopefully this time the tards learned their lesson and go with the shared memory model.  Let the developers decide how much memory they want to use for graphics, the rest can used for the game.

      They might have a new subscription plan on top of the free, but I doubt they will charge you to play online. Add more features onto Plus and they are straight. 

      Since Sony is making gaming a priority for the company, I’m sure you will see more F2P games coming out too. They are already seeing a huge turnaround in the titles that went free such as DCUO and Everquest.

        Seriously?  F2P makes so little money.  Check around the gaming industry.  How many of the dozens of F2P games are still around and making any money.  That was the latest developer/publisher FAD.  What Sony needs to do is get the generally cheapskate PS3 fanboys to part with more of their money.  Everything can’t be free, my friend.  Sony is a business, one that is on the rocks at the moment.  Kaz Harai will be making hard choices in every single area of the company, including the gaming division.

        My local Best Buy sold 3 PS-VITA’s in the last 30 days.  3.  And others report similar numbers.  How to save the PSVITA?  

        1.  Price cut to $199 and include memory stick
        2.  STOP porting crappy side scrolling gimmicky games to it!
        3.  Bring out COD, BF3, Skyrim type games for it.

        C’mon. You’re the XBOT on the podcast (allegedly).  Where is the 360 love?  I guess if I want some 360 fanboy love, I have to go to:

        Then why are they still releasing F2P games? Everquest just went free, and they will be releasing Dust 514 and Planetside 2 as F2P titles too.

      That wasn’t revealed when we recorded the podcast. Anyway, I’m sure Sony knows something we don’t or they wouldn’t have 20 plus games to show at E3 plus 200 kiosks for people to actually play, dare I say it?, games on. lol

        Fair enough.

        But GUARANTEED you don’t even mention that fact on the next podcast.  And it’s a very significant fact too.  Sony’s existing revenue model for the PlayStation brand is NOT making money.  

        I laugh every time you guys talk all serious about Microsoft dropping out of the console business.  If that’s what steadies your nerves while you watch Sony loss billions upon billions in the gaming division … so be it. 

        It will be Sony dropping out long before Microsoft.  Microsoft can easily afford to continue losing money on the XBOX (which they are not now) until Sony drops out.  Microsoft will just Rope-A-Dope Sony, while their bitter fanboys, notoriously cheap and frugal, sit back and don’t financially support their own brand.  That’s the problem.  Amazing that you don’t see it.

        Heck, do you guys even have PSN Plus?  You won’t even support your own brand, yet you’ll talk them up to the Nth degree.

        But get ready!  Only a total, blinders-on, fanboy fool believes that Sony is not looking at changing the free PSN model.  And next generation is when they’ll announce it.  PS4 will not have free to play online.  It will, without a doubt, be subscription based.  And expect to see advertisements in the new XMB (not likely to called that, but I use it for arguments sake here).

        It’s coming……..

          Playstation users would be pissed if they did that.  What they will do is add multiplayer and possibly Netflix as a part of PS Plus.  MS is making too much money off of xbl.  But seriously though, they aren’t losing that much money in their games division, it’s Sony as a whole that’s losing money.

            They lost $2.8 billion in their PlayStation division (CPS).  Losing that amount of money in Year 1 or 2 of the consoles life might be understandable give the razor/razor blade business model of the console industry.  But to lose that much in Year 5?  That is a serious problem.

    Kaz Harai is the Captain of the PlayTanic and is trying to keep the ship afloat after Ken Kuturagi hit that XBOX iceberg.

    One thing that will save the PlayStation brand is the choice, if it’s true, of AMD/ATI for CPU/GPU in the PlayStation 4.  Instead of the Ken Kuturagi sponsored hardware design, just go with the flow.  Make it a PC, essentially.  Easy to develop for, easy to produce, etc.

    Amazing how the arrogance of the PS2 era has led Sony to the almost the end of the road in the console business.  Hopefully Kaz won’t make that same mistake with the PS4.  

    How many Sony Fanboys are paying the subscription for DCUO?  Yeah, that’s what I thought.  Way to support your brand!

    Sony is a business, and businesses exists to provide return to shareholders.  Business 101.  They are not a fanboy fanclub.

    I will give props to the new Malaysian owners though.  They removed all the horrible advertisements from the website and cleaned up the interface.  You can now actually read the site and access the content decently now.  Congratulations.

      Actually, a site called OXCGN went from being a 360 site to covering all games. They use to post articles (not negative) about the PS3 so it was only a matter of time for a change I guess. That would be a good topic Sal..
