The God of War Ascension panel at PAX 2012 consisted of Game Director Todd Papy, Lead Game Designer Mark Simon, Principal Character Artist Patrick Murphy, and God of War series writer Marianne Krawczyk discussing our favorite bad-ass Kratos, and what makes him tick.
One interesting part of the discussion were four rules the panel revealed that were to be followed when Kratos is being depicted.
- He is always grim and angry, we never see him smile or joke.
- Even though everything is BIG, Kratos always is at the center. He should never be small and weak.
- Kratos never falls in his back unless he dies.
- Kratos is always moving forward.
The rules apply elsewhere, and not just the God of War games.
