    This was a funny and entertaining SYGU podcast. Glad you guys had Torrence on the podcast. Hella funny dude. I agree with everything you guys said about this generation. Those damn pre-teens and typical teens have ruined this gen making it a causal gen. Let’s hope next gen is better in terms of the “mature” gamers.

    @Torrence: I think the company you were thinking of making LittleBigPlanet Karting is United Front Games whom are the makers of ModNation Racers and the upcoming Sleeping Dogs.

    People need to saying Microsoft’s exclusives always sell big because most really don’t. You only hear about the 4 top sellers from xbox 360 while the other exclusives are forgotten like a step child. Examples, Ninja Blade sold 200k, Banjo-Kazooie 700k, Crackdown 2 1 million, Too Human 700k.

    Sony could just release Gran Turismo, God of War, Metal Gear, and Uncharted and each one would sell over 4 million. But as a GAMER i would be disappointed to miss out on the many other great exclusive games Sony makes.

      Since when is 1million sales bad? Especially since Crackdown 2 was just Crackdown with new enemies. Also, the games I mentioned are all top tier AAA Xbox games. Same goes for Sony. Not all their exclusives are top tier AAA exclusives, but the ones that are, sell well. The point I was making was this, if Microsoft is making a ton off of just 4 or 5 games, businesswise it’s smart to keep making those games and not take chances on new IP’s. For gamers though, some gamers, that may suck. I’ve never heard an Xbox gamer complain about the lack of disc based exclusives though. There’s still a ton of shit on XBL. You can’t discount download only games, that would be stupid. That would be like saying Journey isn’t a worthy exclusive and it’s one of the best Playstation 3 games I’ve played this year.

        I never said one million was “bad”, but it’s far from the 5 or more Halo and Gears sale. The thing is some people say Sony exclusives dont sale well because every game doesnt do 4+ million.

        “Business wise” ???? I dont care about the business of Microsoft i just play games. I looked at my game collection the other day and i own 25 Sony published games and only one Microsoft published game. That is a huge problem. I would like to hear your ratio of Microsoft and Sony games too.

        I have every right to complain about the lack of games Microsoft makes. I bought the system with my monies!

          I never said you couldn’t complain. I say businesswise because MS and Sony are in this business to make money. So it’s a smart decision by MS. I can’t believe you only have one game for xbox. No Splinter Cell Conviction? No Fable games? No Forza’s? No Tenchu Z or Project Silpheed? What genres do you like?

            I’m talking games that were published my Microsoft. I have other xbox games Conviction being one of them. That was published by Ubisoft not Microsoft. My beef is Microsoft doesnt make games and right now we’re in a drought.

            Am i’m the only one that doesnt want to play the same 3 or 4 series?

    people who say bitbag was xbot sight never heard of HIPHOPGAMER, i only have 3 games for my ps3. i traded all them bitches in cuz all their exclusives are fun the first time, but have no replay ability. i feel scammed 60 bucks for 6 hour exclusives.

    Here we go with all this exclusive bullshit! Be happy you have something to play no matter what fucking company it came from. You could be stuck with shit games across the board. Why would an xbox owner give a fuck about a Sony exclusive and vice versa? They shouldnt! Then if you own both you really have nothing to complain about. Then people act like third party games arent anything worth playing. Mw3, Bf3, assassin creed, splinter cell, rainbow six, ghost recon, Madden, 2k12, Mortal kombat, street fighter, Batman, Skyrim, Saints row, Gta, Max payne, Marvel vs cap, Dues Ex, Borderlands, and the list can go on and on of non exclusive games that will entertain either console owner. Even if you erased all the exclusives out the picture gaming would still be highly entertaining. So it doesnt matter what system has what what ever you chose or what ever you have you got shit to play be happy and stop the bullshit!

      now i have to agree with your statement, but the amount of xbox fan boys i talk to have more to talk about sony than MS, which is insane if they love the xbox so much like yo say why do they keep going on about ps3 exclusives all the time? everyone knows which machine has more functionality and more power, but that also doesnt matter so long as you enjoy your games. The thing is im quite surprised how much loyalty MS has and how people in the US think they are a trusted company like apple, its ironic that all these companies out source manufacturing to china in sweat shops also causing pollution but china’s factories has to take the government fee pollution hit, producing USA products.

    Torrence, what did you think of the DARPA Chief, Donald Anderson in MGS? Or the bomb disposal expert, Peter Stillman in MGS2? Were these not intelligent black characters. I think you guys are reading too much into MGS4.

    Hideo Kojima has been very open to the west so I don’t think he was sending subliminal racist messages with the Drebin and Little Gray pairing. I think it was something funny and cool that came about in development and they rolled with it. Also, Little Gray is first seen drinking normal red coke.

    As for Sazh, that felt like a stupid character forcibly included to appeal to black people in the west. However it is important to point out that Final Fantasy has had a great black character before — Barret Wallace from Final Fantasy VII.

    great show… Blade206, Oakland is not as bad as you might think it is. it has it’s hot spots and not so hot spots like any other city in USA. i know the area you were mentioning in this podcast. San Antonio Parks is right down the street from where you mention. i would not go into that park in broad day light or at night time. the next time you come to Oakland try going to Lake Merrit/Chabot Park among a few places. the sadest thing i have noticed in Oakland is the farther you head East of 580 freeway the more oakland shines.

    it would be nice if something were to come to San Francisco. i do not know how the city could manage the traffic and the amount of people from it becoming a cluster fuk! It was good hearing from T Davis. i was wondering if T Davis was making a stop off at Golden Corral in Tri Valley area before heading to the bay? there was alot of good moments in this week show.. lol

    Just watched the Sony conference from Gamescon, would love to hear your views as i think its was all positive, 3 new IP’s and some really good Vita support. Buy a ps3 game and get it free on Vita, PS+ for Vita, Price cut is the only thing i expected to happen which didn’t. Media Molecules new IP is really interesting.
