The Playstation Blog has announced that the beta for God of War: Ascension will be available for Playstation Plus subscribers this winter. We were able to play the Desert level at PAX 2012 and Santa Monica Studios did a great job of translating the brutal carnage which is God of War into multiplayer.
Each warrior is backed by one of four gods which grants unique powers and abilities to be unleashed upon your friends online. The first is Zeus, king of the gods and ruler of Mount Olympus.
